We had a comfortable stay while visiting family and spent some fun time at Catawba Creek Golf Course, which is just a short drive away. The hotel’s location is excellent, making it easy to explore the area. The staff even remembered my sister's name and asked about her well-being!
In my wife’s opinion, the microwave could be cleaner.

We were completely dissatisfied with our experience. The check-in process was unnecessarily lengthy, the entrance was permanently locked, and the reception felt unsafe. Even more alarming was encountering drug use in the elevator, prompting us to leave early. I can't recommend staying here for families seeking safety.

The room was well-equipped with a full-size fridge, two-burner stove, and microwave, perfect for longer stays. However, the hallway reeked of food, detracting from an otherwise average atmosphere. The service was decent, but I encountered several issues, including the heater being inoperative and a lack of blankets, leaving the experience quite disappointing. In spite of a few redeeming qualities like a helpful front desk, the overall cleanliness was overshadowed by maintenance woes.

The kitchenette setup provides convenient cooking options with a full-sized fridge, freezer, and a two-burner stovetop, perfect for longer stays. Plus, there's a linen exchange service for those in need, which adds a nice touch for a no-frills experience.
Daytime noise from upstairs guests can be disruptive, particularly if you're trying to enjoy some peace and quiet. The bi-weekly cleaning schedule might be a challenge for some, especially if you prefer more frequent housekeeping. the lack of daily cleaning could leave the room feeling a bit neglected if you stay long-term. Additionally, certain amenities require extra charges, which could be surprising if you're not prepared for that.

Clean room, friendly staff, the kitchen amenities in the room were very convenient for my quick breakfasts during my solo travels, and the location was perfect for exploring nearby attractions while also providing free parking.
Everything was superb.

Friendly staff made the check-in process easy. The room needed better maintenance, with noticeable roaches and issues with the fridge. Quiet location near restaurants. Good value for the price overall.

Solo Traveler's Essential Stop!
So, I spent 8 nights here and let me tell you, the staff was amazing! Ms. Faye and Terry at the front desk felt like family. They made sure everything was right and kept checking on me. Plus, the laundry room was a lifesaver for my long stay.
Now, it wasn’t exactly cheap, but considering the service, it was still reasonable.

It was just a great fit for an overnight stopping in Gastonia with value for money. The room had a full-sized fridge and a two-burner range top, which was super handy. Make sure to bring your own cleaning supplies since you need to tidy up yourself.

I spent a month at Woodspring Suites in Gastonia and had a pleasant experience overall. The staff greeted me with friendly smiles every day, and they were always ready to assist whenever I needed anything. The cleanliness of the rooms impressed me, and I really appreciated how they were well maintained. However, there were a few hiccups during my stay. During the first couple of weeks, I noticed noise coming from the rooms above me, especially late at night, which made it difficult to sleep. Additionally, there were instances where I felt uneasy with some individuals loitering around the parking lot in the evening. While my stay was generally positive, addressing the noise issues and safety concerns would significantly enhance the experience for guests.
